"If" by Rudyard Kipling

This project is a personal interpretation of the poem "If" by Rudyard Kipling. The poem is a father telling his son what it means to be a man; however, being a man dos not involve the stereotypical notions of masculinity. With the style frames below, I explored the notion of the creation of man. What it means to be a man is having soul, passion, dreams, and drive. Inspired by Oskar Fischinger and vintage medical illustrations, the abstract visual music of Fischinger represents the dreams and passions of man while the medical illustrations represent the physical.
